Join KBI as we host a special conversation around upcycling the by-products of Kombucha – specifically the SCOBY, which is a pure source of bacterial cellulose. Beyond composting, we will hear from two entrepreneurs who are successfully turning SCOBYs into wood products (Gabe Tavas, Symmetry Wood) and paper products (Shaun Moshasha, Kombucha Biopapers).
Plus Rochelle from Upcycled Association will share how producers can connect with brands that are seeking raw materials to turn into novel products. If you’ve ever wondered what to do with your leftover SCOBYs, this conversation will illuminate some of the many opportunities starting to emerge.
