President's Message

KBI members are strong, intelligent, honorable, and innovative. Many of our members weathered the shutdown of the pandemic through sheer tenacity. Yes, we are a tenacious group. Did you know that KBI’s Mission statement is ” strives to promote, protect, and enhance the overall well-being of the industry by creating an open line of communication between brewers, consumers, and regulators while advancing our industry through advocacy, education, research, and modern legislation.?” Our Mission, along with What We Do and our Core Values, create a solid foundation for helping one another. Reaching out to other members may prevent you from reinventing the proverbial “wheel.” We feel that sharing is one of the many KBI benefits, which is “priceless,” to coin a favorite saying of Steve Kelley.

When did you last browse our website? The Management Team continues to improve and update our web presence, making us more visible to potential members. The Why KBI tab contains information about the KBI Code of Ethics, Industry Info, Member Benefits, and more.

Have you checked out the Member Forum and Content Library? Several new enhancements help you become more visible to other members. Such as the Member Directory “filtered” search. You’ll want to log in and review your personal (and company) profile. While logged in, check out the Member Library.

The Member Library contains Safety Documents, Technical Guidelines, Sample Policies and Procedures, and KBI Features, including past conference presentations and articles by industry partners or members. KBI committee members purposefully created some of these documents within their specialty fields. Members can use these documents intact or as templates instead of starting from scratch. KBI wants to help you grow your business. I encourage you to use and contribute to the Member Library.

The Board of Directors approved a slight 2022 membership investment increase. The last increase was in 2016. When you utilize all the KBI Member Benefits, the value far outweighs the investment.
